A whopping 97% of professional investors are positive on global emerging market equities with almost half set to increase their allocation to the strategy this quarter, according to ML Capital?s latest Alternative Ucits barometer.
London, 4 September 2012 ? Skyline Capital Management LLP and ML Capital Limited are pleased to report that the Skyline UCITS Fund has completed a successful first year. The Emerging Markets Long/Short Fund ended its first year of operations up 20.5%, placing the fund top of its peer group and in the top 1% of all alternative UCITS Funds.

After four negative months in a row the UCITS HFS Index reported a monthly gain of +0.97% for July 2012. The broad index started positively into the month with a first week performance of +0.35%, followed up by gains of +0.15% in week two.
This quarter investors appear very reluctant to make strong bets and are planning to reduce their exposures to directional strategies with most equity long-short strategies seeing a significant drop off in demand for this quarter, according to ML Capital Management?s latest ML Alternative Ucits Barometer.

Columbia Wanger has been managing these UCITS funds for the last 10 years.
